Since our first meeting in 2001, the number of individuals and families the support the Arizona Elk Society has grown. We have worked diligently in developing a modern, focused organization. As the rut progresses, testosterone levels increase in bulls, and herd bulls are challenged by other bulls intent on breeding cows. Fights ensue, some being minor scuffles and others that play out longer. Rarely, do fights end in major injuries to the combatants. However, all are interesting to see.

Kara took a video of a bull we called in this morning. While I have a tag we are helping a great young man, Trent, from Iowa on his first ever archery Elk hunt. This was the first of three bulls we called in this morning. Trent didn't have an open shot. Great video, Kara.
