Wild in the City is our newest youth program. This program was launched in 2010 at the request of the Arizona Girls Scouts Council. This is for all youths 6-16, including scouts and troops to teach some of the outdoor skills and help them earn badges for things they might not have a chance to otherwise earn.
Wild In The City is a one day program teaching youngsters about the outdoors and other skills including:
- wildlife identification
- track making
- owl pellet dissection
- wildlife calling and much more.
The Arizona Elk Society goal is to be able to offer this program as a way to introduce young boys and girls to the outdoors. We hope to be able to run this program 3-4 times a year in Phoenix and other communities.
