Project Report
The AES projects committee has just completed its review of the 2006 project proposals that have been submitted by the various Habitat Partnership Committees around the state.

As always it is our objective to make your donated dollars stretch as far as possible by partnering with other organizations and government agencies. Our partners this year were The Arizona Game and Fish Department, The U. S. Forest Service, The Arizona Deer Association, The Arizona Antelope Foundation, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, The Coconino Sportsman, The Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society and various Ranchers and private land owners.

To date over 93 projects have been approved for funding at a cost to the AES of $1,190,502.00. The total value of these projects is $6,614,301.00 dollars, over a 5 to 1 return on your money. Projects funded consisted of prescribed burns, dirt tank resealing and new construction, Game and Fish water catchments repair and reconstruction to increase storage capacities, pinion/juniper clearings, elk jumps, youth shooting programs, CWD research and reseeding and fertilizing.

The committee will continue to look at projects as the year goes on. At this time there is approximately $250,000 available for projects.
